Description: An island country in the far northeast of Aporue. Colloquially also known as “Eylenda” or “Snjófrón”.
Real world frame of reference: Think of pre-20th century Iceland and the Faroe Islands,
with some of the more hinterland islands belonging to the country being
reminescent of Jan Mayen, Svalbard and even bits of southern Greenland.
The name of this fictional country literally means “Frostland” in
Icelandic. Eylenda, Snjóland and Frón are all OTL alternate terms for
Iceland, usually colloquial. The politics and society of this land are
based on the idea of the OTL Icelandic Commonwealth remaining in place
for centuries and eventually developing into a republic.
